About Me-- A good teacher is like a candle, it consumes itself to light the way for others.
My name is Mrs. Currier. I moved from Mexico City with my parents and my three sisters when I was seven years old. We first arrived in Cedartown, Georgia where I learned English by doing the thing I loved the most, READING! My parents moved my three sisters and myself to Collinsville, Alabama in 1994 where I had some of the most influential teachers in my life. When I graduated High School I entered the work force and was engaged to David Currier within a year. I have been married to him for seventeen years and have three wonderful kids named: Emma, Natalia, and Viktor. I went back to school when my oldest, Emma, began Kindergarten. I attended Snead State Community College where I received my Associates in English, and furthered on my education at Athens State University to receive my Bachelor's in English Language Arts. I am a certified teacher and I enjoy teaching language arts because it is the focus of the way we communicate with one another. I also love to read and hope to place my passion for reading to the students in my classes. I love learning new things, meeting new people, working out, and most importantly being with my family.
